We are a small but well-established club (1997), operating within the Northcote Bowls premises in Little Shoal Bay, to whom we are affiliated, We currently have around 39 members who are a mix of social and competitive players made up of mostly retired friendly folk keen to encourage new members.
Don't be put off if you are new to the game;
There are club boules available and if you haven't played before we'll guide you through the main points of play.
The pétanque terrains are at the back of the bowls club, we usually go into the clubrooms after a couple of games for some social time and coffee or drink at the bar. We'd be happy to meet and welcome you at the club 15 minutes before the start of play on the following days:
Thursday and Sunday - play begins at 3 and we play to 5ish.
These times provide options to play when convenient all year round.
Once you become a member, on the first Sunday of each month you can join in the monthly club competition. It's a social "bring a plate" event for sharing after play.
There is afternoon play on this day for those who cannot get to the club monthly competition.
We encourage you to come along to play for free at a couple of sessions to see if you like it then we'd invite you to join.
(Annual fees are due on April 1st and you would pay a pro rata amount until then.)
